Japanese-English Translation Services


I am a fully qualified member of the Institute of Translation and Interpreting (MITI), and offer high quality Japanese - English translations in a number of fields, particularly chemicals, patents, energy and the environment. I have completed substantial amounts of work in the following fields.


  1. Chemical patents

  2. Energy and the environment

  3. Chemistry

  4. Cameras, lenses and optical imaging

  5. Automotive engineering (especially motorcycles)

  6. Pharmaceutical clinical trials

  7. Printing, particularly thermal transfer and ink-jet

  8. Japanese Sport


I am based in Shropshire in central England, but have around 50 clients in a number of countries across 3 continents. Please feel free to contact me to discuss any potential project and for details of my rates and availability.


Interpreting Services


I also act as a Japanese - English interpreter, and have provided interpreting services to a number of major Midlands-based Japanese companies. I would be happy to consider any requests for interpreting work within a reasonable distance of my Telford base. Please contact me for hourly, half-daily and daily rates. I would also be happy to quote for longer periods.


Software


I am equally at home working on a Mac or a PC and predominantly with all Microsoft Office applications, Apple iLife and iWork, and Adobe Acrobat and Photoshop. I also use AppleTrans and WordFast as translation memory tools.
